SNOW!!

Well I am so excited to say that it finally feels and looks like winter.  However, as I was leaving church last night and having to bundle up Tyler...I thought....I have had enough of this.  Bring on spring and summer!!!

Just an update on our youthgroup:  the teens are really growing in number and spiritually.  We are preparing to go to Dare2Share in Columbus.  It is a huge event with thousands of teens and at this event they are taught how to share their faith with others and they put it into practice on that Saturday in the surrounding areas of Columbus!  We are also preparing for our huge Super Bowl bash.  Some of our teens will be providing the music.  Please be praying for them!!  I am so proud that they are utilizing the talents that God gave them!!

Mexico update:  Things are going slow, but that's okay.  We know that it is all in God's timing as to when we get there.  We are thinking that we won't make it down there this summer, due to trying to raise support.  We are currently focusing on raising the money for the house, so we can get it built and it will be ready for us as soon as we get our support!  Brad will be traveling to Michigan and Texas to BBF meetings to hopefully get more leads on prospective supporting churches.  We would surely appreciate your prayers in this area!

The kids are great!  I uploaded 2 new photos!  These were taken while we were in Kansas!

As I write this I am looking at the snow....it is beautiful.  I love how God shows us His beauty!

Blessed

Well, what a week!  Even though it was hectic and crazy....it was one of the best weeks of my life.  It started Sunday evening with our Community Outreach Christmas.  What a blessing.  Before the program even started we had one lady come to know the Lord.  Our gymnasium was at capacity.  It was such a blessing being able to minister to all of the people.

We then were blessed through song and dance by the Children of the World Children's Choir.  Most of these children are orphans and are traveling to raise money for their schooling and other needs.  After their program, we had one of our teenagers (our cousin) surrender to go to the mission field.  It was the most powerful service!

Our family was blessed by hosting two of the girls in the choir, Roxanne and Ting.  They were such a joy.  Brad stayed home with all 4 kids on Monday.  I was so proud!  We took them out for the evening.  We hated to let them go.

As Christmas approaches I am reminded of just how blessed we are. Granted, things are tight and at times I complain, but after what I witnessed this past week. I AM BLESSED!  So let me challenge you to look for the small blessings in life...they might just be bigger than you think!!

December 12, 2006

Well, I must say that I am excited to be sharing our journey with all of you!!  We are currently preparing to go the mission field of Mexico and I thought it would be cool to keep a blog of our "journey".  We are now in our deputation stage of raising funds to live on...oh what fun!!  This stage is moving very slow, but we are praying that after the holidays it will pick up!!

As for the family....Julianna is 3 now and going on 30.  She is an absolute blessing and such a drama queen!!!  She so enjoys life! Tyler...well he just enjoys eating.  He will be 9 months on the 21st...I can't believe how quickly time flies!!! I went shopping for him and had to buy 12-18 months....he is our little chunk :)  We can always count on him for a smile.  Although right now...he is very frustrated with his sippy cup!

We are in for a very busy month:  Community outreach gift giving; Children of the World Choir, several family Christmas gatherings, Teen Winter Retreat, and trying to finish up Christmas shopping.

Well, thanks for reading our first blog!  Thanks for coming along on our journey!!

Until next time!

Sheri
